Hmmm - What is it? by luckyshot

LynEve: Nice one -- makes a great desktop and I think I know what it is but still look forward to hearing the answer.
Best of luck in the contest :)

Eubeen: This is a closeup of that glass ornament given to you by your in-laws when you first got married. You only put it on display when they come for a visit, otherwise it sits in the hall closet collecting dust. Great looking colours and shapes in the image, Thad. Best of luck in the contest.

Oh, What IS It? by cynlee

Ramad: Nice idea Cindy. Whatever it is that they are looking at, it is those facial expressions that are caught so well in this image that matters.

nanadoo: I LOVE this!!!! What a great capture! I love your work.....it is always so inspiring!

In&Out by zunazet

cynlee: I guess I should examine things more closely as I haven't a clue as to what this might be, but I can see that it appears to fold and maybe those are reflections, maybe not. I do hope you will eventually reveal what is in the image. Good job of disguising its true identity.

What is it? by krt

krt: Thanks one and all for voting on my image, and many congratulations to the other finalists and especially the overall winner!
Okay, my image is.... the inside of a giant walk-in model of a human cell. You can see the endoplasmic reticulum in blue and some organelles in other colours embedded in the cell wall. The model is on display in a museum in Hamburg, Germany (where, incidentally, photography was freely permitted).
So now you know! But I am impressed with the ingenuity of the other suggestions.
